About

Sophie Hohmann is a current student at SCI-Arc’s undergraduate Bachelor of Architecture program.

She is extremely passionate about design and strives to create intensities where softness and sharpness harmonize and collide within her work.

Inspired by artists like Gerhard Richter, Robert Longo, Karla Black, directors like Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, and Gakuryu Ishii, and bands like Wire, Magazine, Japan, and New Order, Sophie draws these sentiments into her architecture and work: fusing the tensions between piercing, forward-moving energy and poetic sensitivity.

Her recent projects feature a Pool House and Pool design proposal for her first-year final project at SCI-Arc, and she is currently working on publishing her new zine .
